Our routine is based on the principle that children learn best when they are interested and engaged. There are times where the children can choose what area of provision they would like to play in without interruption as well as some adult led activities too.

We aim to know the children well enough to work with their interests, preferences and choices in the continuous provision and to choose our timing to join in their play most carefully.

Adults will model play, make suggestions, ask questions and converse to extend a child’s understanding, develop creativity and to enhance vocabulary.

We maintain the same structure each day to ensure children know what to expect and that they can build upon and extend their learning and experiences each day.
